ib12u: You need to pay closer attention
Both of those interviews were recorded many months ago. Notice that Al says they are going to attend CES again in January. That was looking ahead to the 2008 CES show. The first show, which generated 12,000 orders was CES '07 in Jan. of 2007. Later he talks about the results in the recent Q1'08 10Q filing, which was filed on Nov 19, 2007.
The big clue is that all the talk in there is about the S-XGEN (the old name). Also, he talked about the SKY-FI business, which they shut down about 6 months ago.
If you pay close attention to the video profile, it's not nearly so promising. In fact, there's not much there except for the 'to be introduced after the first of the year' bit.
