(1) The dividend payment is halted merely to conserve cash, not forever banned. It's possible to start again at a future date. This is spelled out by the Treasury if you actually did a lick of research.

In a BK it is halted until judgment. In a connservatorship, you have 45 days. Then you'll own worthless shares if you didn't sell.

(2) Stocks don't need to pay dividends to have financial worth. The reason why they call it earnings per common share is because....the stock is entitled to those earnings.

Right, like I said. You have an EQUITY STAKE. I'd sell before your equity stake is ZERO.

(3) No assets are being "divided" among anybody -- that's a completely made-up fabrication that perhaps you heard from your barber or taxi-cab driver.

Actually its' common knowledge, which says much about you. ;0)
