As far as Oil drilling, yea there will be a meaningless vote on it. California and Florida will not allow off shore drilling. Plus with oil prices on the decline, the issue will lessen until next spring.

Despite being a Republican week on the spin, the polls are still tight in the key states. The bottom line for Obama to win is to get his base plus the new registered voters out. At least un like the Kerry campaign, he has a extensive GOTV organization. Despite Obama's defensive week, his campaign is still humming in the background as a team.

If all fails, the dems will increase their majorities. Harry Reid will push back if McCain gets uppidy with earmarks and I am sure McConnel will so to.
