Ernie has limited information regarding viable biofuel feedstocks in Belize. Just more negative posting about BLDV...

There are additional feedstock options such as cohune nuts, palm oil and sugar cane. All available cost effective feedstock options will be considered.

When it comes down to it, all non-food crop feedstock should be used to off-set the high crude oil prices. Gasoline prices in the USA will probably start climbing back up again.

Let's not forget that the University of Illinois recently completed an extensive study on Miscanthus as feedstock in the production of ethanol...

http://www.news.uiuc.edu/news/08/0730miscanthus.html

"In the largest field trial of its kind in the United States, researchers have determined that the giant perennial grass Miscanthus x giganteus outperforms current biofuels sources – by a lot. Using Miscanthus as a feedstock for ethanol production in the U.S. could significantly reduce the acreage dedicated to biofuels while meeting government biofuels production goals, the researchers report."
