JMHO, but I believe the Cane Plays have bottomed out for the week. With the models pointing closer and closer to a Mexico landfall, I believe some people may have sold this morning thinking Ike won't hit the U.S. and that the season is over. But the official NHC forecast still calls for a major hurricane making landfall in Texas, and for those of us that have been in this game for awhile are not going to bail just before something big might occur. As long as the track stays headed for Texas and we begin the see intensification after passing throught Cuba, I truly believe we have a couple nice days ahead of us.
Just an observation, but the Cane Plays have reacted differently each of the past few years, so this is getting to be a harder and harder game to play. It used to be that you loaded up before the season even started, now you load up right before a storm is a threat. With what I have been seeing over the past few weeks, I have come to believe the best strategy in the future may be to daytrade these plays with how volatile they have been.
Unless Kyle shows up before the week is over, there will probably be some profit taking before the close Friday, too, even if Ike seems like a major threat still, so I will be watching very closing in the days ahead.
Good luck to all that are still in this game. I believe it should get fun again soon.
