I think Swift and company thought that the X was just another penny stock that could be manipulated and the stockholders would just fade away when ignored long enough, then he could have his way with the company. A lot of penny stocks are just scams, as I am sure everyone here has found out, and when the CEO screws the stockholders who have a few hundred bucks invested, they just curse him and go buy something else.
What Swift failed to realize is that the X is different and has attracted a different kind of investor. Not just college kids flipping for lunch money, but true longs who know how to dig and do NOT go away easily if ever.
