That's the usual route because a lot of these low share price stocks are naked shorted by the MM's to fill big buyers in a timely manner. They expect to have tiny run ups to suck people in that will sell right away as the MM's shake the tree to cover their precious naked shorted filled orders from the lower levels. The million dollar question is to get everyone, including management (no, absolutely, no dilution until 30 to 40 bagger status hits) to hold for at least a week or two during increasing buying interest.

The first maneuver they try to do is to shake shares loose by dropping the price. Usually works. The more rare scenario is that every single person holds or increases buying on the shakedowns for many days on end (while they all have every single one of their owned shares with GTC sell orders placed very well above the market) and with everyone holding, the market makers then are finally forced to go the other direction...UP! Up, up it will go until some loser hits the bid or loads the ask with entirely too many shares that exhaust the current buying interest before allowing the bid and ask prices to climb. Continually stay well above the ask with any sells, drastically limit the load that the ask is going to encounter, don't touch the bid with a sell order, support the bid with big buy orders to keep them from sinking the stock and help force them to raise the share price in the market. That's usually the only way really big greater than 10 bagger multi baggers occur. The other way is a company with an extremely low share price merges with a very profitable company and the stock instantly goes to correct much higher upward valuation or a very positive change occurs that greatly increases the profit realized or profit potential of the stock. Can't wait to see this CCMJ get to proper valuation.
