I am not a lawyer never took the Bar Exam in the state in which I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree in 1993. Have had
more than 50 court cases however as part of a State Bar program sponsored by my law school. Did this for 2 years, meeting once a week with clients who were primarily Russian emigrants who came to the USA during the collapse of the USSR.
It was quite rewarding.

With regard to the lawsuit which Spooz has filed against Groves,et al, I can only hope for your sakes it is speedily
resolved. I was the plaintiff in a lawsuit against a major
corporation which started in State Court and ended in Federal Court. It lasted 7 years. The defendant in the case made a settlement offer which was accepted 24 hours in advance of jury selection. My attorney was retained on a contingency basis but it still cost me a lot of money to pursue. In the end it was hardly worth all the aggravation it caused but I
did have the satisfaction of winning the case and the 3 employees involved were all dismissed and there was a five figure cash payment made.

In this case, Spooz really has no choice and I doubt they could get legal representation on a contingency basis (attorney shares any awards made at typically 30-40% of settle-ment) because Groves, et al probably have no money. This is a defensive law suit which they must feel was necessary. I am
sure it will be expensive for them.

Perhaps it will be settled in due course but I wouldn't hold my breath on it....these things can drag out for years. It
would be intelligent to write it off and design new code as
they appear to be doing.

I have no idea on how this legal matter affected the Green Zone beta testing. One would wonder if they pulled it back or
if they were able to modify it quickly and continue. Guess you folks have some more digging to do.
