In my opinion it would be unusual for a company the size of UWNK to have such a plan. It is normally used for companies that are established with no doubts about viability of the business. This gives the executives a tie to the overall company outside their functional area - they share in the risk of the company outside of just their option/restricted stock packages.

Working at a start-up is risk enough :)
