Rhino, Ike is a bit tough and really tough for me cuz I can't get active vis sat loops, water vapor, etc... so really tough for me to do guesses or much else than go with the experts.

As far as Dr M describing Ike, I was a little surprised he talked about it potentially becoming a big storm. To me I see it remaining fairly small unless I'm missing something (I'm sure I'm missing many things). The Atl has several things to prevent it from being real big I would think (troughs, Hanna, ULLs, etc). But he was talking about more toward the weekend it looks like so maybe conditions will be ripe then for a big storm. The small size currently makes me think it will stay more westerly like the forecast path shows and hit probably the US. However, Dr M mentioned the 3 main long-range track forecatsers had it getting pushed out to sea by a trough coming over (and then off of) the US. Maybe Ike will 'feel' the weakness left behind by Hanna and therefore follow that path if it is close enough to Hanna. If Hanna does help direct Ike then I could see the 3 models being correct. But Ike is small plus Hanna is on the move again (and a bit smaller) so I'm sticking with the west direction and US for now because I believe Hanna will not have as big an impact on steering Ike as I first thought it might (for rerasons above). bUT hANNA DOES HAVE MORE STEERING INFLUENCE ON ITS EAST SIDE (SIDE OF iKE) with the convection so WHO KNOWS LOL!? Not me...

All IMO but again I'm a bit of living in the semi-dark for now and will probably be mostly offline for a few days traveling to a more remote area.

Good luck and as always

EVERYONE STAY SAFE!
