while i don't doubt that, doesn't the conspiracy-theorist in you kinda feel like the terror alert, etc. were all engineered to prop the bond market and in turn the housing market in the light of recent events there?

Do you think the current machinations there are going to have much effect, if any, on the PoG a few years out?

Quite frankly, I don't think it/they will and that is one of the building blocks my long term view is based upon.

And seeing as how I'm one of the original cast members of the CBAA (Conspiracy Buffs Anonymous of America) and, I think, pretty well aware of many of the market related shenanigans that often cause me to shake my head in wonderment, it sometimes takes a quantum leap of faith for me to continue to hold these beliefs so close to my chest.
