Where do you get your information regarding Excel not keeping up with data feeds? I think you have it backwards,

The difficulty as I understand was the cell refresh rate of the spreadsheet itself. And that problem was created by an early spooz developer which spooz is in the process of suing as a result of that development. Hence the development of the new middle ware engine further resulting in the need for fatter pipes then what was available. Which in turn brought on a new set of hurdles because broker feeds cannot supply enough data fast enough to maximize what the engine is capable of. Additionally, most proprietary broker feeds include extraneous data that impedes clearing latency. That is why Spooz has passed on certain brokers. Spooz is agnostic which is what the pro traders desire. they do not want any interference within the transaction clearing process.
