Well, there's still a lot of zealots out there that wouldn't be able to sleep at night if they knew their elected representative wasn't "really" going for an all out ban of the practice.

My youngest son plays football. In the 8 year old league. At that age, most of the kids don't like to commit to the tackle or hit. They like to make a show of "trying to make the tackle" to make the parents happy.

That's how I see the anti-abortion politicians. They are making a show of "trying to get the ban" to make their constituants happy knowing all along that they lack the resolve to follow through.

So see, you can vote for a Republican even if they are anti-abortion because you know they aren't going to do squat about it. Can McCain have your vote now? LOL!
