First - Conventions will change very few minds regardless of weather or localized disaster.

Second - Why would this be the case: "the last thing McCain needs is a reminder of Katrina."

Third - If you believe my "Second" point has to do with a black eye against Bush, republicans in general or McCain, you are also assuming that the folks blaming Bush for a late reaction on Katrina otherwise would be voting for McCain which isn't the case. Not even close.


No one seems to be able to answer this question though. What voting block do people think Obama will pick up over and above what democrats would win anyway? LOL!

McCain will pick up votes from democrats that would have voted for any democrat that wasn't a Muslim. Muslims are too fanatical, stereotypically, as a religion and we don't see enough "peaceful" Muslim leaders denouncing the violence committed by Islamic terrorists.

Won't be too long after the DNC that centrist democrats will start having buyer's remorse. It won't be posted here but they will have it once the sparkle of empty speeches wear off.

McCain is pretty much what conservatives expect to get.
