Man, you guys that want to tax corporations just don't get it.
What do you think Exxon would do if you raised their taxes considering they have profit margin goals to sustain? That's right, they'll raise the price of the product.
A tax increase on corporations is a tax on you and I. Please stop promoting that because gas prices are high enough, thank you very much.
Note - Apply that formula to any type of business and you can see how that rhetoric speeds up inflation.
NOW, if you want to charge a royalty to oil companies for U.S. originated product they sell abroad, I'm on board. That is ONE thing Nancy Pelosi had right recently. Unfortunately, those royalties are already spent in her mind. But better than a tax.
