Hello Bashers, I must admit I have not missed your dismal view of the world. However, I did keep up to date on the boards and was chagrined and disconcerted by your inane and idiotic machinations.

After a more than three week absence, I feel compelled to respond.

To begin with, I am concerned for the mental well-being of you bashers. You are downright depressed people and, if my guess is right, you suffer from a loss of energy, suppressed or exaggerated appetite, sleep disturbance, diminished capacity for pleasure (exemplified by a limited sexual capability, which you know). However, yours is a safe position and that is what you seek because pessimism is both a precursor and manifestation of depression. As such, it is hard to disillusion you because your expectations are so low and you are seldom disappointed. Since all significant accomplishments require risk, you dislike those who have taken the risk and still hang in there with a positive view that is based on something you fear, the real possibility for success. And, for there to be hope would place you in an untenable position. Try as the naked shorts did, the stock is not dead. And, that is what we should talk about.

NSOL has named a notable transition team to help with the selection of a CEO and to focus on strategic alignment. I could not help but smile at those who quickly denounced General Jones, while wrongly implying the general was with Enron during its demise. You are libeling the good general. His tenure with Enron was during its best days and he left before Skilling and Fastow brought the company to ruin. I guess bashing does not require due diligence.

Clearly, the transition team has the skill set to accomplish its stated purpose. In fact, given the low volume of trading, I believe the market has paused to see what they come up with and what happens next. Those who believe NSOL was simply an effort to pump and run are wrong. If that was the case, we would not have a transition team or someone like Maland come on board. So, it ain’t over. And, that troubles you because of all the time and effort you have taken to slam those who, unlike you, are not risk averse or may have more courage than you. You call them stupid, but you do that out of fear.

One thing I did learn in the past three weeks was that I was not going to engage in a give and take with depressed people. It only encourages them. So, I shall not. But, I did want to correct a couple of bashers who made statements when they thought I was not paying attention (how typical).

First, I never made a statement that financials do not matter. Within the context of the situation, I said it did not matter that NSOL did not have revenues IF it was engaged in a viable business venture that held promise for the future. As an analogy, a biotech firm engaged in drug development will spend money without revenues for years. The key is what happens in the end; as it does with NSOL.

Second, one particularly intellectually challenged and emotionally distressed individual on the Yahoo board who uses a monkey on a horse as his icon (tell me that does not scream instability), claims he and another individual, who has been placed in the IHUB penalty box for two months, have run off those who have argued for a balanced perspective or expressed hopefulness. To you I say this…you flatter yourself. You do not have the intellectual capacity.

I will leave you all with this…nothing good ever happens quickly or all at once. While I have my own issues with NSOL and may air them at some point, this in no way diminishes my intention of waiting and seeing what happens with the transition team. So, you can bash all you want for as long as you want, but you will only make success taste that much sweeter.

And, of course, because I am an equal opportunity irritant to bashers, I share this with both boards…
