Short Interest Plays

There was a period of time of several months last year when a
bunch of us would await the monthly short interest reports and
then do a report of stocks with a high short interest that also
had a big increase in shorts from the previous months and then
look for a technical long signal for a short squeeze play.

Calpine was particularly good for this. If the short interest
was in the upper 80 million shares, it was usually a good time
to buy. And if it was in the low 80s, leave it alone.

Shorts HATE company.
