More good news!!!!
I personaly called the city of Vila Park office on Friday and spoke with a gentleman named Ken, He verified that things are in the making and progress is happening with Onefi. This will be a Beta test site ONLY at this time. Damn i just went out to the bbq wagon to get my notes so i could give more info and they are gone. I will call Ken again on Monday and get more info. I do remember asking him his opinion on the company and the people that have been in and out working on this project, He told me the people have been very professional, knowlegeable, clean and courtious. I wish i wouldn't have lost them notes grrrrrrrrr as he told me that something major is going on this coming monday, Testing or something. I will follow up on this after i talk to Ken and will try to get him to email me a brief rundown of just exactly what is going on which i will copy and paste to the board. I will be honest the only turn off when i talked to him was that this as i stated earler is a Beta test site ONLY at this time NO revenue generated !!!! He did tell me that Onefi and the city did talk about possible revenue IN THE FUTURE and have plans of future discussions on what percentages to split up POSSIBLE revenues later on down the road. I guess thats not all bad news as it would really be smart to get the bugs out of the system before charging for it. Ken also said that this system has many more positives and capabilities then just Wifi, He talked of survelance for the city, Police cars fitted to the system so that in car cams can be transmitted to remote locations and a few other ideas that have been discussed. Once again all sorry for the notes but i will follow up on Monday if possible.
