Peter Lynch used to give his teenage daughter $1000 to spend in a mall anyway she pleased then followed her to see where and how she spent it in order to gain insight on fashion trends before Wall Street. He didn't ask his 75 year old father to spend it there for a key reason, even though that would have yielded him some valuable info too, obviously he was being savvy putting more weight in the teenager's opinion in a place who's demographic consisted of teenagers.
Nobody is requiring age be posted -- it is being asked, because this savvy investor knows better. You should too. You'll do better in the market.
