"Do you think we'll get that production information this year?"
Hard to tell; my feeling, my strong belief in fact, is that when they have a well producing more than a few barrels per day, they will be very forthcoming, even anxious to share that with investors.
From their past history, if they no longer mention these wells, or refer to them in vague positives and seek to direct investors' attention elsewhere, that will be the tip off that the well did not work out as hoped for. This is not to say NO oil, but less than had been hoped for originally. This, in my view, is why the stock continues to languish lately, in the face of what appears to be very good news and progress.
Now, if they can break through on one or more wells and show substantive, measurable progress in regards to production? Well then, that may change things very quickly! Remember, they do not need a geyser producing a thousand barrels a day to significantly impact the bottom line. The reason is simply because they have taken a slow, deliberate approach to building their business and so have not recklessly diluted. Also, one or more wells recently drilled that might show much better production than the mature wells would speak NOT ONLY to increased revenue from that well itself, but in my view would strongly indicate a multiple of that revenue could reasonably be predicted, given these wells are in a trend.
As for the Bakken and/or Sabine leases...these are wildcards. They Pr'd a definitive document review for the Bakken lease recently....hmmmm...we'll see. At this point, my belief is that most investors want to see a DONE deal, with dollar figures, etc. "Discussions" and such are no longer cutting it, at least stock wise. By the way, this is not to suggest they never had discussions in the past regarding the Sabine lease, etc....and perhaps they just did not get the deal they wanted/deserved? However, PR interest and/or possible JVs enough times with no deals getting done and well...investors wait now for a completed, signed deal. Heck, we might have that real soon with the Bakken lease?!
