Actually NASCAR drivers are ALL in top physical shape and have workout schedules similiar to Football Players. You can't drive if you do not have superior physical strength nor will you survive some of the wrecks.

It is a VERY physical sport.

F-1 is fine if you like computer driven slot cars which always disintergrate if they so much as touch another car or obstacle.

NASCAR is rugged autos, 358 cu.in. limit, 3300 lb. limit, aerodynamic limits and even intake air limits at some tracks.

Good old "Detroit Iron" and it will be around a long time.

F-1 is where you are challenging the track...NASCAR is where you are challenging other drivers.

Bumps, bangs and rammady bams are common and they "keep on trucking" not F-1...bunch of flimsies.

By the way, NASCAR does have road races.
