Sorta OT: I'm a total believer in axillary thermometers. We spent 176 days in the hospital with my son undergoing aggressive chemotherapy along with a stem cell transplant, and watched them take his temperature every hour with an Exergen Hospital-quality Thermometer. Now that My 5 1/2 year old son is cancer free, and a 2 year brain cancer survivor, we swear by these things.

Although I currently own the same brand that they used in the hospital, I can say that these absolutely work, are spot on with proper use, and are SOOO much better than any oral or rectal thermometer on your child. Any negative review you see on these are either because the device is broke, or the parent didn't read the instructions!
