Bay Fisher, thanks for the opinion on meandering channel. To me it sounds like what we call an Ancient River.
I have a good friend that worked for a large private oil company in Tulsa and about all they did was find & follow these rivers. They would only lease & drill in the bends. They say that's the sweet spot, thicker sand due to wash outs & spread out more. Must work, they are doing real well.
