I have "an equity position in this company" which, I'm sorry to say, is worth 15% of what I paid for it. (For those with "30 units of college math," that's a decline of 85%.) I, like many others, bought into this turkey largely based on what I read on THIS BOARD, which, before you jump on that, happened to be about the only place one could get what passed for DD on this "company." Back then, and probably even now, when a person searched for AMEP/AENP, he or she pretty quickly ended up HERE.

Since you're a self-described newbie (ha!), you don't remember such gems as the infamous Golden Cross and the 90-cent "worse case scenario" pre-split price prediction, do you? I could go on and on about that sort of pre-split hype, of course, but to get up to speed, why don't you just PM or e-mail one of the "heavy hitters" who, with one or two exceptions, have mostly disappeared from the board since the RS. I'm sure you know who they are.

Even those who used to brag that they were averaged in at a penny or two pre-split are under water. Hard to talk that up, I'd say.
