Delivery of the actual Rx would be intra-venous and therefore the major and the impt (needed) influence of Rx would be in the blood system going to the various organs of impt. - the blood system is what is taking the problem to all parts of the body. Another reason why "endocarditis" is so often an outcome/aftermath of sepsis and a major complication which can cause life long problems - the heart is pumping at a higher rate secondary to infection the constant insult of bacteria going to all organs. So the secondary effect would be much less to the GI system lumen were the beneficial bacteria live. In anycase, a sterile GI system could be dealt with and would quite unimpt. compared to spesis. The "tuning" of the vector system will prove interesting. Things to look forward too in the future as we learn more of the CYGX details of sepsis Rx. I mention the Intra-peritoneal parentral route of introduction in experimentation only not for actual human Rx. When dealing with a small rodent it removes some problems in experiments (although the venous system canbe used in this species). Besides, it's just hard to get the mice to pump their fists on command to pump up their veins! which are hard to hit! Just kidding, they usually hit the vein on underside of tail, which the mice just hate!
