i saw a movie with vanessa redgrave called 3 coins for sarah.. that was the title i think... and it was about the salem witch trials..it was quite well done... what a mockery of law and justice... i believe some people in this country wouldnt mind seeing that kind of persecution make a come back..and youre right, there were no burnings in america to my knowledge... but it was still religion/myth based persecution with no viable way for a person to prove their innocence and still be left alive...and most of the claims of witchcraft were inspired by the want of another persons property or vengance... i really thought that religious hatreds and intolerance were well on our way to being behind us as a nation, but the last 8 years has shown they are very much alive and poised to make a strong comeback..the new mega churches are the new unions....and electing another conservative will help complete the first phase of reverting america back to a place where religion is the great divider..
