I don't think WW would mind me saying that he, like me, is a people person. We enjoy speaking with the people we come to know and respect here on the boards. It's nice to hear the voice behind the written word. This is not everyones' cup of tea mind you, many folks prefer the anonymity of their screen personas. I'm fine with that, too, to each his own..
Personally, I find it much more efficient to use the phone than email. I get a lot more information and instant feedback where misunderstandings can be instantly cleared up.
Many of the problems we face on Ihub is the limitation of the written word. Certain tone, inflection and innuendo is left for the reader to imagine and often the reader gets the original intentions wrong. The human voice carries much much more information than just words. I should know, it's my line of work.
So, the "tangent", if any, is to understand each other better. That's a big part of my agenda. Besides, it's fun talk about things that may be way WAY off topic.
