GW could have issued a press conference advising of the failures at the local state level. Of course, it would have been thought of by some as making excuses. So he didn't (not for that reason I'm sure).

It's easy to target the guy you don't like as the point of failure.

Other items of note are the buses that Mayor Nagin let flood that were supposed to be used for evacuations.

Cars parked under over passes a full year later even though the Mayor had multiple bids to remove them more than 10 months before.

But let's listen to the great philosopher, Kanye West. "George Bush doesn't care about Black People."

Whatever you say, Kanye. Whatever you say. Just please continue to ignore the failures of the local Black Mayor. Wouldn't want any balance in your view of bigotry or any other productive thought.
