Most often, chills are placed when a stock has taken off and certs can not be verfied due to lack of reporting. While Trading houses are to turn in iformation of sales and buys, and do not report shorting of stock in a timely manner then yes there is going to be a discrepency in the amount of shares.

OC, I still want to know what is your interest in the stock did you buy at one time, or do you have any. Someone who takes this much interest should be invested.
