Holy Crap. Did anyone see Jim Cramer's interview with Google CEO Schmidt? Um, he talked about how the next big thing in mobile is using a camera to scan barcodes. If there was ever a doubt that the PWC space and camera phone scanning is going to happen en masse, they just dissolved.

Now the arguments will be whose "side" Google is on, Neom or Scanbuy. (As if it's only about Neom and Scanbuy in the first place.) I don't think it matters a whole lot. With Google filling the tub, the water will lift all the toy boats.

At least one would think.

But Google has always been about open standards. I still find it hard to believe that they would embrace EZCodes, but who knows. All I know is, it just got that much more interesting.
