I recently inherited a ladies diamond bracelet watch, which in 1967
was appraised at $2,900, replacement value. Is this likely to have
substantially increased in value since that time? Should I spend the money to have a full-blown appraisal done? No, I am not looking
to sell it.

Ladies Diamond Hamilton bracelet watch
platinum tops 14k white gold case back. Cover
of watch contains five marquise diamonds
one weighing 20/100 and two weighing 15/100 each
and thirty-five baguette diamonds various sizes
between five and seven points each and twenty-three
full cut round diamonds weighing between three
and five points each. Bracelet of watch contains
one hundred and eighty one point diamonds.
Total weight of diamonds in watch cover and
bracelet five carat and sixty-two (5.62/100)
