THE HGLC FAIRY TALE IN A NUTSHELL:
And I suppose we are to really believe that this private equity group really wants to pay 7 times the current market value of Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (CDE: Current market cap of 1.3 billion) for HGLC? HGLC has abandoned mines that have not been worked since prior to World War 2. For comparison's sake, here is what CDE has:

In 2008, the Company expects to produce 16 million ounces of silver, a 40% increase over 2007 levels, and 24 million ounces in 2009. Our new San Bartolome mine in Bolivia, the world's largest pure silver mine, began production in June, and construction is well underway at another world-class silver mine - Palmarejo in Mexico, which will add to Company silver and gold production beginning next year."

Who really believes this far fetched pennyland dreamweaver scam? Due to it's enormous outstanding share count, HGLC is already trading at approx. 1.2 times the price of CDE. And the takeover bid (wink wink) is at 1.4 times the price of GFI and 1.02 times the price of AU. These are some of the world's largest active mining companies.
