sold Manulife for a good scalp @ 37.72. Looking to reenter this one lower ( I think it is pretty solid) iffff <NG> financial stocks drift lower from here I think financials need to retest lows or near.. If they drop and rebound without making a significant new low I will buy fairly aggressively I think..
Sold last of my FSLR into today's pop for an overall loss.... No more wasting time and money hoping a stock comes back.. Sold 2/3 of PSS yesterday :O) Doubled my position near the close today so 2/3 of my position now.. I still like this one for a double from here but will continue to trade it vigorously... It has pretty good swings and is very liquid.
Watching NG and Oil stocks here.. LT charts of COS.UN, SU, ECA, CNQ, are all pretty darn impressive but a pretty decent drop from here wouldn't dent the LT uptrend one bit.. At some point it will be a mega mega profitable trade to back up the truck.. I'm not looking for much... just a portfolio double from here so I don't even need to work for toys ;o)
John those shale wells are high cost yes... Companies that do the newer multi frac drilling will do well then no ? iffffff ..but what is unknown is the actual reserve potential ... that is the bet.. I think the expense is secondary all things considered.. but what about LNG ?? The rest of the world will continue to suck up NG so I do not r4eally worry about LNG LT..How do you put a price on energy independence :O) NO energy positions at all presently... new school or old school..
Looking at the USD and loonie.. looks like Mr. Parr Schmarr was not too far off LOL.. Loonie is good for us in the 90 cent US area so .85-.95 works.. We have our fiscal house in relatively good order.. US dollar bottoming.. The US will not evaporate like Rome and the China/India story LT is the real deal IMHO.... so AG Energy etc.. will rock again..
I think gold is cooked as a run to safety item .. but I can always change my mind.. OTOH rich Chinese and Indians love gold.. so gold itself is NOT cooked.. The right gold stocks will do great.
I also like a lot of tech.. for a look...
This is all the stuff running around my head these days ... FWIW.. :o)
Mostly CASH and yield.. but solar Powered in the future :O)
