The NAZIs were socialists. National Socialists.
When government serves the purpose of 'wealth distribution', it does the same thing. Government, a 'totalitarian entity', decides how wealth will be generated and distributed, and, it's a 'state p;anned' enterprise.
The individual is an ant in the giant government anthill. Only 'the state' matters.
One could argue all socialists are totalitarians, and fascists. Socialist managers do very well under socialism.
Freedom is 'market' based.
