Hi EZ, I have Limit orders in place to sell the first part of the inventory. I usually sell in 5% to 10% lots of the total position. It's worked well over time. Takes some money off the table and lets the rest ride for longer term.

The main benefit is that it caps the value at risk in a rising market to essentially a fixed amount. When the value rises much beyond that control point, I sell off the surplus and bring the value at risk back to about where it was. It helps me keep my head in a bull market and keeps me from losing my arse in a bear market!
