The former factory of the business GDX Automotive to Magog, that closed its doors in last February, finally found taker. Radio Canada learned that the American business Magnum of Now Resources will install itself in the building to do the transformation of residues of tires.
The business signed a lease of five years with purchase possibility. The equipment and the machinery already are to the harbor of Montreal. They should take the road of Magog during the next days.
The new factory, that carries the name of Magnum Recycling Canada, should begin his production in some months. The factory could transform until 2 millions of tires by year. The president of Magnum Recycling Canada, Michel Boux, indicate that the business orders to the United States already rise to 132 millions of dollars.
Mr. Boux adds that the initial investment puts a figure itself to 5 millions of dollars. A forty of jobs could be created previously. To longer term, until 200 persons could be hired.
