It's being run by a University, not by the CRO. Both the University people and the members of the DSMB are probably impacted by summer vacation schedules. I don't believe that Cortex has a financial motivating tool available with this group. The inclusion of the pain/analgesia aspect complicates the data analysis, so if some key person from either the university or the DSMB is out, that could bring everything to a halt.

Discussions with prospective partners are not going to be so far along that this delay becomes relevant--by the time it is done (month's end, early September), that will still be in plenty of time for the info to be incorporated into the discussion.
