Am I understanding you correctly? Your saying they are tax exempt until you sell? In other words, while you own it, it's tax exempt. But, after you sell it you have to pay taxes?
Isn't that how all stocks work? Last I checked, I didn't pay taxes while holding any stock. It's only when I sell, for a profit, that I am taxed.
By the way, 401k's and IRA aren't tax exempt either, they are tax deferred.
