Now all passengers on Spanair flights departing from Madrid, Barcelona, A Coruña, Alicante, Bilbao, Palma de Majorca, Seville, Valencia and Vigo can enjoy this new state of art.
In the last step of our Web Check-in Service you have the option to select either a paper boarding pass or the new mobile boarding pass (on all flights departing from Madrid, Barcelona, A Coruña, Alicante, Bilbao, Palma de Majorca, Seville, Valencia and Vigo). Once you select the mobile boarding pass and fill in your mobile number, you will receive a multimedia message (MMS) on your mobile phone. This MMS includes a bidimensional code as well as all the important information about your flight, such as flight number, departing time and gate, seat number etc.
At the airport you only need to scan the bidimensional code with the special readers to receive a receipt to pass the security control and board the aircraft.
And this--Not sure if there is any connection here.
