I sent the following email to Brooks communications on Monday August 4, 2008:

"Could you please provide any information concerning this company's relationship with IPhone2 Inc. I was under the impression per news releases and SEC documents that Brooks Communications was acquired and is a subsidiary of Iphone2. Can you please confirm or clarify this?"

I got the following reply:

Brooks Communication, Inc. has completely severed the relationship with iPhone2, Inc. Because of the legal agreement involved, I have attached an approved press release.

I hope this information is of some use.

Clark Brooks
President
Brooks Communication, Inc.

The press release that was attached is as follows:

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 26, 2008. Brooks Communication, Inc. announced that, upon mutual agreement of the parties, the acquisition agreement with iPhone2, Inc. of July 11, 2007 is null and void. Clark Brooks, president of Brooks Communication, Inc. remains the sole shareholder of the privately held telecommunication company headquartered in Albuquerque, NM. Brooks Communication, Inc. has no affiliation with iPhone2.

Brooks Communication will proceed with plans to enhance their sales staff and update their product lines. They will continue to sell Mitel / Inter-tel digital and VoIP telephone systems; Polycom audio and video conference systems; and a full range of local area network solutions. Under evaluation are additional VoIP products.

Founded in 1976, Brooks Communication is one of the oldest and most respected business communication systems providers in the greater Albuquerque area. With it’s dedication to quick and efficient service, Brooks Communication has a base of approximately 500 clients.

I find it interesting that the agreement was voided "by mutual agreement". I believe the presss release that IPhone released concerning this acquisition was premature and/or grossly misleading. Anyone know if there are any operations of IPhone2 still in existence? And does anyone have any idea of the whereabouts of one Chip Greenberg?
