You took the words right out of my mouth. That was a harsh response but very honest. Intel's short-term success by copying Transmeta's lead is very flattering. Intel does indeed currently sell many more processors but they have been around much much longer. Craig Barrett is no Andrew Grove and his days are numbered. Transmeta will eventually gain the high ground in this sector - it is only a matter of time. Software is flexible that is the only reason why it exists. Intel is just finally learning how powerful that approach can be. Too bad it is probably going to be too little to late. There is a major shift occurring in efficient mobile processors and it is clearly not at all in Intel’s favor. That said I guess we will have to just wait and see.
