Don't get excited about a little theatrics. Real science may be exciting work but it makes for dull pictures. When we science guys want to inspire awe in the superstitious masses, we like to have our picture made peering into flasks of colored water or strike a pose (as pictured) suggestive of some life changing discovery.

If you've seen recent photos of climate hysteric James Hansen, you will have noticed the chalk board filled with incantations and humbug. News Flash! We don't use chalk boards these days. The fact is that every photo you've ever seen of scientists at work is a fake.
