Intel Corp (INTC)

So how *is* Intel's stock doing???

Certain individuals claim that Intel stock should be doing "much better" than it is if they'd only follow that particular individual's price structuring hypotheses... so I thought it would be interesting to check to see how Intel stock is really doing over the last 2 years since the new Core architecture has been available commercially...

Compared to the Dow:

Both are off of their 2 year highs, but overall the Dow is virtually flat for the two year period while Intel stock is up 20%.


Compared to the NASDAQ:

Again, both are off of their 2 year highs, but Intel is up 20% whereas the NASDAQ is only up 10%

The S&P is actually DOWN a little compared with 2 years ago, so INTC handily beats the S&P as well...


Compared to AMD:

In the same period AMD is down almost 70%.


Bottom line: Intel stock is outperforming all of the major indicators and their leading competitor is taking a bath. So much for the hypothesis that Intel stock isn’t doing well because of the “price war”.
