Nice twisting of my words, but no, you're wrong.
The increased short position is a tiny fragment of the volume that has transpired in the last several weeks, about 10 or so, since the brief spike.
The fall in shareprice has ben more to do with people getting away from the stock because of the horrid financials, the possibility of an SEC investigation into their filings and information, and the inability of the company to grow revenues in what was supposed to be their largest quarter. Note that based on Aero's own press releases, revenues should fall in the 255K range, a VERY small increase over last quarter, in what was supposed to be their BEST quarter.
Since the 2nd day of the peak of the spike (I didn't count the first one), 5/13, there have been almost 561 MILLION shares traded in 53 trading days, an average of over 10 million a day.
How small does that increase in the short position look now?
The short position IS insignificant...but is a sign that the growing sentiment is that the filings show red flags everywhere.
If the short position is covered, it won't be noticeable in the shareprice. Just too much volume around it.
IMO/FWIW
