I think that happens on fast moving boards because when you click next 20 three or four posts might be included that were not there when you read the first 20.

Then you go back to your Favorites page and click new messages, and there they are again.

My work around for this problem has been to click "Last Read" when I get to the last post and I don't get them again.

I hope that makes sense.

Edit: Let me see if I can make my point clearer.

I look at my favorites list and there are 30 new posts to read on a board.

I click on the 30, and of course I get one. Then I click on next 20. There should be 29 posts left.

I read the first 20, and then I click next 20.

In the meantime, there have been three or more posts posted.

So instead of downloading nine, I download all of the next 20 at that time.

But the message counter doesn't know that I have read the new ones unless I hit the "last read" button.
