Proxim gets lift from deal w/ China Telecom (PROX) By Michael Baron
NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Proxim (PROX) rose 13 percent to $1.45 on Instinet after the Sunnyvale, Calif., wireless networking equipment maker and a partner received a frame contract from China Telecom. The deal calls for Proxim and Forth Research Institute, a unit of DaTang Telecom, to provide point-to-multipoint broadband wireless products in 10 provinces in China.
