Take it easy now.

You don't think that the fact that the more wealthy parents were able to afford extra tutoring and also maybe were able to spend more time with their kids reading to them could have been a factor?

Possibly, but all the rich kids I went to school with didn't have tutors, and they were all intelligent. I also noticed that all the kids who never did well in school, were not wealthy. That whole generalization I made was based on my six years of attending a wealthy public school district. Yes, there were some poor kids, but most of the school was quite wealthy. And there were exceptions, some dumb rich kids, and smart poor kids, but there was a clear correlation between wealth and intelligence. I also even wrote a paper on it in high school using case studies. I know a lot about this particular subject.

To say that wealth breeds intelligence is dead wrong.

No, to say that is dead wrong. I know what's it's like to live on both ends of the family income scale, and I can say from my experience, that being poor does NOT motivate you to do well in school. It can be a very depressing thing. In poorer families, there are more family problems, like the divorce rate is higher among lower income families, and domestic violence is higher too. These problems the poor kids face can led them into a either depressing life or a life of rebellion. In my unusual case, it led me to start a business, but I am certainly an exception.

All of my friends were intelligent, and I know for a fact that all of my friends were either upper-middle or upper class. I also know that all of the kids who were jealous of me and all of them who didn't like me were poor. How do I know? One day I found a school directory and I looked up everyone's address to see where they live. In a mid sized town like Omaha, if you see an address, you can easily picture what neighborhood it is in, so it wasn't difficult to tell. Especially someone like me who is very fluent of most of the central/west Omaha neighborhoods.

Wealth, a lot of the time breeds wealth

What do you mean?

which sometimes leads to inbreeding, which breeds idiots.

You're thinking of like the Royal family, lol. Listen to me, I knew these people, and inbreeding was not something that went on. I'm not thinking of royal families or anything like that. I consider a rich kid to be a kid who has a family income of more than 150k. Trust me, I know tons of wealthy people, and inbreeding is not relevant. I don't know where you got that from.

You said your parents were not wealthy.

Must be another reason.

There are also black people that listen to country music, and women who are firefighters. In almost everything in life, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS.
