Zymetech ehf. is an Icelandic company that specializes in the research of enzymes derived from marine organisms.
An experiment conducted at a London laboratory, showed that an enzyme mixture developed by the company, killed the H5N1 strain of the avian flu virus with a 99 % success rate. The mixture kills the virus in less than 5 minutes without damaging healthy cells[1].
