duelittle, I don't believe that to be correct. I think it is the way the different mods have interpreted "float". When lowman was mod, the float only included free trading shares and no restricted. I'm fairly certain the float listed in the ibox now contains restricted shares as well. So, there was no major change in anything at x period in time... just a change in the interpretation of float. Both methods are technically correct because depending on what/where you read you get different definitions... just depends on the how it is interpreted and listed. So, no big jump, just a difference in display :) Heck, just look at the ibox as it lists just two numbers... insider and float.
