Regarding Mohammed Ali Guidfar's resignation from the board...
I was disappointed that the 10K didn't explain WHY he left. That is why I posted the speculation that I did on the RB board that it was very possibly so that the funding we have long anticipated may finally come to fruit. From what I know of Arabian Custom, it is my opinion that ALJ wanted Mohammed to sit on the board and get all the inside scoop! I hope my analysis of this is correct. Time will tell.
Number of Shareholders....
I remember the website boasting that Mr. Haffer had grown the investor base to over 11,000 and I was surprised when I read today that as of Sept. 30, 2000, there were only 269 INVESTORS! Yes, 269. Period. What does that tell us? What SHOULD that tell us? To me, it tells us that during the large spike in price in April 1999, investors poured into WLGS in anticipation. JUST LIKE ME! Now, some 17 months later, it paints the picture that many of those were only in for the quick buck, the fast pop, etc. It saddens me to think that people invest this way. HOWEVER........what I now wonder is just what it will take to really get the news out about WLGS!!
This company is dramatically, undeniably different, than when I first bought at beginning of May 1999, right?
I think that the recent REUTERS debacle is clear evidence of how the stock can be manipulated by bad news. On the other hand, I simply HAVE to commend WWWC for their professional poignant manner in which they handled it. The "winner of the match" does not have to be the one wearing the BIGGEST GLOVES!
The Press Release regarding McDonalds', Compaq, and MARKETING PROSPECTS is astounding!
The Press Release regarding Sonny Rath joining the BOD is "frosting on the cake"! ('ceptin for that mysterious Mohammed resignation)
All in all, here is my take. I truly like this company. Oh, there was a time, back when WLGS dribbled DOWN to .75 a share that last round, that I hated to even think about it. But now? Now I wish I had a GAZILLION DOLLARS or so. If I did, I wonder if Doug would mind if I owned 51%! *grin
